FAQ
What does "Out-Of-Stock" mean?
When is the shipping cutoff time?
How accurate is the website for determining the correct tube?
1. The correct part number needs to be confirmed with the part number called out on the vehicle build sheet. This is found using the vin number for the vehicle through the dealer.
2. We cannot look up vin numbers and we can’t call the dealer.
My order show sales tax due and I'm tax exempt. What do I do?
Please send a PDF copy of your tax exempt certificate(s) via email to [email protected] and we'll set up your account with tax exempt status.
Why does Sales ask for my email when I call to place an order?
In our system, your email address is directly tied to your account. It's like an account number, but easier to remember.
How do I find my parts on your website?
1. The best way to find your part is the OEM number. We cross-reference the orginal manufacturer part number (OEM) with ours. The OEM number is usually located on the part itself. You can also contact your dealer for the OEM number.
NOTE: We cannot look up the OEM numbers for you.
2. Use the filters on the website! Start your seach by selecting the category of the part you need. Then use the filters on the left side menu to narrow down the selection by truck brand, model, engine, and more!
3. Contact us by phone (1-866-210-5545) or email ([email protected]) for drawing and worksheets to help you describe the part you need. This requires a little more effort, but it can work.
What material do you use?
2. (BHM) Marine tubes are made from type 304 stainless steel unless they are used in ocean or salt water, then type 316 stainless steel is used.
What are your capacities?
- We bend in house, all tubes from 5/8” diameter up through 3” diameter.
- Tubes that are 4” diameter or 5” diameter are made from pre-bent elbows that are modified as needed.
Are plugs or drains included?
1. Plug and drain valves are available at an extra charge.
Are your tubes chrome?
1. All tubes are given a finish to remove surface blemishes that are due to the manufacturing process.
2. Mirror finish is available at an extra charge and minimum 4-week lead time.
Do you carry any size over 5"?
1. We have 6” diameter tube available, and very limited assortment of bends. Looked at on a case by case basis. Contact our sales team for more information.
What if you don't make the tube?
1. We can reproduce a tube if a manufacture drawing is available or the sample tube is sent into use to use as a pattern. We will cover the cost to ship in a sample tube if it can be identified with a factory part number otherwise it will be made as a custom part.
How long does polishing take?
Polishing is done out-of-house and requires an additional 3-4 weeks turnaround time.
Why do CUSET come in a set? Why can't I order just one section?
These sets are made to fit together and are fitted at the time of production. Mismatched pairs results in probable leakage.
Are the CUSET O-rings the same as stock Cummins O-rings?
No, CUSET O-rings are manufactured by BH Tubes. Please order replacements using the BH Tubes part number.
What is your warranty?
Does the warranty cover parts from third party manufacturers?
1. BH Tubes does not warrant parts from third party manufacturers. These parts include but are not limited to bellows and flex section.
2. Too much movement, misalignment, and/or pressure will lead to shorter lifespan on bellows. We have built the aftermarket part to specifications and used third party parts (bellows) that are recommended by the original manufacturer.
Why isn't my exhaust tube covered by a warranty like a coolant tube?
1. An exhaust tube exposed to high temperature voids the warranty. Even though 304 stainless steel is fine for manufacturing a quality product, these conditions will eventually lead to wear and tear, cracking and the need to replace the product.
