When a replacement looks right but won’t connect cleanly, power steering reservoirs must match the mounts, ports, fittings, capacity, and cap, while exhaust pipes need compatible diameter, bends, and ends.
An almost-right part can create an expensive shop problem. The reservoir bolts up, but the hoses can’t reach its ports without tension. The exhaust diameter matches, yet one bend brings the pipe against the frame. Now the truck remains dismantled while return freight, another order, and shop time add up.
To verify fit before you order, compare the part’s identity, connection points, orientation, and installation environment with the truck in front of you, including any earlier repairs or aftermarket modifications.

Before ordering, confirm tubing diameter, installed length, connection style, available clearance, and vehicle details so a stainless steel tube supplier can recommend suitable stock or fabricated material for the repair.
A truck sitting half-finished in the shop is already costing time. Then the replacement arrives with the wrong diameter, or its length leaves no room for connections. The removed section may be distorted, and a national backorder has already delayed progress. One mistaken order can extend downtime and add return costs.
Reliable measurements come from the mating pipes, installed space, connection method, vehicle configuration, and intended repair, giving your supplier something more dependable than one hurried tape-measure reading taken in isolation.
